Invitation to an Amazing Faiths Dinner & Dialogue
Friends,
On Thursday evening, 13 November 08, we have an unusual opportunity to learn about and support interfaith dialogue. On that evening, the Triangle Interfaith Alliance,[TIA] is sponsoring several dinner dialogues in several homes of individuals who are friends of the Triangle Interfaith Alliance.
In each home, there will be about 8 to 10 people 'breaking bread' together and sharing insights from each of their individual faith journeys. Each dialogue site will be in the home of one of our 'hosts' where you will enjoy a fine meal prepared by the host family. A moderator, who has been trained to assist in these dialogues, will guide the conversation with questions.
Each participant will be able to respond to a particular question from the moderator and will do so without interruption from others gathered at table. Toward the end, participants will have opportunity to engage each other in conversation as they desire.
There is NO COST for this event. Attached to this note is a 'pdf' file with information about registration for a dinner, and links to helpful sites including a link to TIA. You can also register directly online by going to the website, 'amazingfaiths.org'. If you go to that site, you can register immediately for our dinners at the 'Raleigh-Durham' site.
You will be joining hundreds of others around the country who want to be a part of the process of 'Increased Understanding of other cultures and religions' and decreasing the fears thereof.
