Join the Interfaith Alliance’s Vote Is Sacred Tour
Raleigh on Friday, October 16, from noon–2 p.m.
The North Carolina Council of Churches is partnering with Interfaith Alliance for this Raleigh stop, which will include a press conference followed by a march to the polls. People of faith from across North Carolina are invited to come together, lift up the sacred responsibility of voting, and affirm the importance of ensuring that every person can participate in our democracy.
Leading the press conference and march will be
Rev. Dr. Jennifer Copeland, our outgoing Executive Director, and
Rev. Dr. Regina Henderson Moore, our incoming Executive Director,
making this a special opportunity to gather with both leaders as the Council enters this transition.
The Vote Is Sacred Tour is traveling across the country this fall, bringing together faith communities for voter engagement, election protection, voter registration, and public witness.
The Raleigh stop is an opportunity for people of faith in North Carolina to
add their voices to this national effort and stand together for
a democracy where every voice can be heard.
